Agricultural Service Technician

About the opportunity:

Our client is one of New Zealand's largest agricultural machinery dealerships. You will be working in a company that has an enviable brand reputation, a great employee culture and one of the most modern workshops in the Waikato.

Role description:

You will be in charge of a variety of mechanical work, from lifestyle to high horsepower tractors and everything in between. You will need to have a safety first approach to all tasks, be extremely organised and enjoy daily interactions with customers.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Service and maintenance of a wide range of equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in a wide range of equipment
  • Work in a team player mind set
  • Assist in planning and execution of projects as required
  • Keeping clear and detailed records of services
  • Work and interact with customers

This role will suit someone with the following background / experience / qualities:

  • Trade-qualified with relevant experience in the agriculture industry or similar
  • Computer literate (mechanical software systems experience an advantage)
  • Willing and able to work on a wide range of equipment
  • Good written and verbal communication with good time management skills
  • Able to maintain good relationships with customers
